Workshop​/Maintenance Technician

Overview

Work under general supervision within a Workshop environment carrying out maintenance, diagnoses and repairs to a range of equipment. Undertake the preparation of equipment to Company standards in a safe manner for use within an operational environment.

• Undertake preventative and predictive maintenance and diagnoses and repair of equipment in line with work plans and company quality and certification standards.
• Assist with rigging up, building and rigging down of equipment as required.
• Drive a forklift to move, load and unload equipment if currently holding a valid driving qualification.
• Undertake required inspections of equipment and prepare documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and practices; ensure all documentation is correct revision.
• Report all incidents and non-conformances in line with procedures and deadlines.
• Update job packs and return to foreman/supervisor at the end of each work period.
• Liaise with internal departments such as logistics and stores to secure required components and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Actively participate in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status, mobilisation/demobilisation updates, etc.
• Attend toolbox talks and planning meetings when required.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of work area and tools to ensure a clean working environment.
• Communicate with supervisor, team members and operations personnel to discuss schedule and effective safe completion of maintenance and repairs.

• Technical qualification.
• Two years previous work experience, preferably in the related product line.
