P&A Assistant

The Plug & Abandonment Assistant supports offshore well decommissioning (P&A) activities by providing hands‑on assistance with equipment preparation, rig‑up/rig‑down, material handling, and general operational support. This role ensures that P&A operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The position requires offshore travel, extended rotational schedules, and adherence to high safety standards.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English with effective communication skills
• Previous experience in well plugging, cementing, or abandonment support.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing job requirements and offshore conditions.
• Strong teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and safety focused.

• Assist P&A supervisors and crews with day‑to‑day offshore abandonment activities.
• Support wellsite operations, including rigging up/down, handling tools, and staging equipment.
• Safely operate and maintain basic abandonment tools and support equipment.
• Load, unload, and organize materials, tubulars, and supplies on offshore facilities.
• Perform pre‑job inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Follow safety procedures, stop‑work authority, and company HSE requirements at all times.
• Assist with housekeeping, inventory control, and record‑keeping on location.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training.
• Provide general support to the P&A team as directed by supervisors.
