Sheet Metal Foreman

Responsible for overseeing and performing assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment such as ductwork, air handlers, exhaust fans, VAV boxes, etc.

• Direct and oversee one or more crews and/or jobs simultaneously.
• Install prefabricated sheet metal ducts used for heating, air conditioning, or other purposes.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of duct systems.
• Take field measurements and create drawings for the fabrication shop.

A High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years as a Sheet Metal Journeyman with experience in commercial service, or an equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Foreman and/or Superintendent.

• Ability to plan and execute work according to job schedules.
• Availability to work 40+ hour weeks, based on workload and needs.
• Experience working in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms, exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage).
• Physical capability to use hands and fingers, walk, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods, and regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
