The Field Operator III will operate the use of Sand Control and Acidizing applications for our Gulf of Mexico Pressure Pumping services. We work closely with our clients and other BHI Personnel while effectively delivering a world-class service.
As a Field Operator III, you will be responsible for:
- Operating company equipment on a daily basis on a marine vessel to deliver products, service tools, equipment, and platform services.
- Participating in rigging up equipment on location which includes connecting hoses, high pressure iron, etc. to equipment and to the customer's well head on a rig or platform.
- Without supervision will:
- Independently directing equipment rig-up and rig-down
- Independently operating equipment associated with pumping slurries or a combination of specialty chemicals and/or acids to complete or stimulate the well.
- Maintaining all required inspection and log reports to comply with regulations and verify well data.
- Ensuring maintenance is performed to prepare equipment for job requirements.
- Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a High School diploma or GED (required).
- Possess mechanical ability and aptitude.
- Be able to work offshore and on a mobile vessel.
- Be able to work 14/14 schedule.
Qualifications:
- Prefer experience running sand control and acidizing equipment of increasing complexity in the Pressure Pumping Group.
- At least 2 to 3 years or more of Pressure Pumping experience (land or offshore) specific to sand control and acidizing preferred.
- General knowledge of surface equipment and chemicals.
- Competent with volumetric and composition calculations.
- Ability to work well and communicate well with others.
- Travel 50% or more.
