Procurement Support Specialist - Workstrings International - Broussard, LA

* ** General Purpose of the Job*
* Provides day-to-day support to Procurement operations related to new asset processing, movement and verification of new

assets, modifications to existing assets, and inventory handling of bar stock.

** Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* + Load and unload trucks using a forklift and overhead crane.

+ Move tools and assets within the shop using a forklift and overhead crane.

+ Transport tools to and from various workstations across the campus using a forklift.

+ Use handheld power tools in support of asset processing activities.

+  Perform inventory functions, measure and document bar stock length.

+ Perform dimensional checks on assets.

+ Steel-stamp and stencil assets as required.

+ Review shipping and receiving paperwork for assets being received or loaded for shipment.

+ Follow and adhere to applicable Quality Assurance (QA) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.

** Minimum Requirements*
* + High school diploma or GED required.

+ Prior experience in a shop, warehouse, procurement support, material handling, shipping/receiving, or related industrial environment is preferred.

** Technical and Behavioral Abilities*
* + Ability to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane for the duties assigned; required training or authorization shouldbe established in accordance with company policy.

+ Ability to use handheld power tools.

+ Ability to perform basic dimensional checks and asset marking/stenciling.

+ Ability to review shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
