Mission Hires is partnering with a market-leading manufacturer in Brown Deer, Wisconsin to hire a Principal Automation & Robotics Technician. This full-time, onsite, 1st-shift role (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM) pays $43/hour plus multiple annual performance bonuses and full benefits. The position is a hands‑on, senior technical role with leadership‑path potential, focused on advanced diagnostics, repair, and optimization of industrial automation, robotics, and integrated manufacturing systems.

- Perform advanced diagnostics and precision repairs on industrial automation, robotics, and integrated manufacturing systems
- Serve as subject matter expert for Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs, including advanced troubleshooting and system optimization
- Read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints and sophisticated electrical schematics to resolve high‑level system failures
- Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on AC/DC electrical systems, advanced pneumatics, and hydraulic circuitry
- Apply precision welding and fabrication to modify equipment and repair critical machine components
- Collaborate closely with production to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior technicians as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and adherence to safety and quality standards
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and reliability enhancements across equipment and systems
- 8+ years of industrial machinery maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Proven mastery troubleshooting automated machinery and robotics with hands‑on PLC experience (Allen Bradley or Siemens required)
- Advanced proficiency reading mechanical drawings and complex electrical schematics
- Strong hands‑on experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and AC/DC electrical systems
- Demonstrated welding and fabrication skills relevant to machinery repair
- Stable, consistent work history (no job‑hopping)
- Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
- Must live within approximately 45 minutes of Brown Deer, Wisconsin
- Willing and able to work onsite, 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM)
- Full-time, permanent W-2 employment; no relocation; no remote
