Manufacturing​/Assembly MRP​/ERP implementation Consultant

Critical Room Control (CRC) is a growing Milwaukee-area manufacturer of airflow control, room pressure monitoring, and critical environment control products. Our manufacturing operation is primarily assembly-based, with finished products that can include multiple subassemblies and hundreds of individual components.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Manufacturing ERP/MRP Implementation Consultant to help us transition from largely manual inventory and material-planning processes to a structured, system-driven manufacturing operation. This is an implementation-focused engagement—not a study or roadmap-only project. The consultant will work directly with CRC leadership and department managers to evaluate our current operation, develop improved processes, help select the appropriate ERP/MRP solution, and lead CRC's side of the implementation through go-live and stabilization.

• Evaluate our processes from order entry through purchasing, receiving, inventory, production, assembly, shipping, and invoicing.
• Improve inventory accuracy, material visibility, purchasing, and replenishment.
• Develop and implement structured MRP/material-planning processes to reduce component shortages.
• Improve BOM, subassembly, inventory, and production-planning processes.
• Identify bottlenecks, manual processes, and opportunities for automation.
• Define CRC's ERP/MRP requirements and help evaluate and select the appropriate system and implementation partner.
• Lead CRC's side of ERP/MRP implementation, including data preparation, configuration decisions, testing, training, employee adoption, go-live, and stabilization.
• Establish meaningful KPIs and reporting for inventory, purchasing, shortages, production, backlog, lead times, on-time shipment, and other key operating metrics.

We are particularly interested in someone who has personally taken a small-to-mid-sized manufacturer through this type of transformation before.

• 10+ years in manufacturing operations, materials management, supply chain, ERP/MRP, business systems, or process improvement.
• Hands-on experience leading ERP/MRP implementations in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of BOMs, subassemblies, inventory control, purchasing, receiving, material planning, and production planning.
• Experience transitioning from manual, spreadsheet, or visual inventory processes to an ERP/MRP-driven operation.
• Ability to work directly with employees on the manufacturing floor as well as company leadership.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Acumatica, Epicor, Net Suite, or similar manufacturing ERP platforms is helpful; vendor-neutral experience is preferred.

Success is not simply delivering an assessment or ERP roadmap. The objective is to leave CRC with an operating manufacturing system and standardized processes that employees are actively using to manage purchasing, inventory, material requirements, production, shipping, and management reporting.

Initial engagement is expected to be 60–90 days, with the opportunity to continue through ERP/MRP implementation, go-live, and stabilization. This is an onsite/hybrid consulting role based in Brown Deer, Wisconsin.
