Registered Nurse (RN, RN II, RN III)
The registered nurse (RN, RN II, RN III) performs professional nursing activities in the care of patients so they may achieve or regain, and then maintain, maximum physical, emotional or social functions. The role functions are governed by the Nurse Practice Act, the Administrative Code (in the state of employment), as well as professional standards for nursing practice, and the policies and procedures of Rogers Memorial Hospital.
Schedule- Part‑Time, 24‑32 hours per week
- Available shifts:
Days (7:00AM–3:30PM), PMs (3:00PM–11:30PM), Nights (11:00PM–7:30AM)
- Provide compassionate, patient‑centered nursing care
- Complete physical and mental health assessments
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor patient progress
- Communicate effectively with patients and families
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- Registered nurse licensed by the State Board of Nursing in the state of employment; license must be in good standing
- American Health Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification (or required within 30days of date‑of‑hire)
- Bi‑annual re‑certification of CPR required
- Formal training in management of the aggressive patient required within 60days of date‑of‑hire; annual re‑certification required
- Previous psychiatric experience with children, adolescents, and adults preferred
- Designation as a qualified medical professional (QMP) may be required at the hospital’s discretion; must be competent to serve as a QMP and be evaluated/renewed at least annually
- Employees at the Child/Adolescent Day Treatment programs licensed under HFS §40 must have either training in psychiatric nursing with children or one year of experience in a clinical setting with these children
