Teller; Part Time - Brownfield

Position Purpose

Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; post transactions to general ledger accounts; cash negotiable items such as checks, cashier’s checks, savings bonds, and money orders; promote bank products and services while delivering excellent customer service.

• Represent the bank courteously and professionally.
• Receive and process deposits and loan payments.
• Cash checks and other negotiable instruments for clients.
• Examine documents for endorsements and negotiability.
• Process transfers between accounts.
• Sell traveler’s checks, official checks, and money orders.
• Process credit card cash advances.
• Verify and balance cash daily.
• Detect and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Offer other bank products to meet customer needs and strengthen relationships.
• Maintain no more than one proof‑error within a 30‑day period.
• Follow teller procedures consistently and adhere to compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Establish and maintain professional business relations with clients.
• Resolve client requests and inquiries promptly.
• Operate the online teller terminal.
• Maintain privacy of customer information.
• Ensure the bank’s reputation for quality is maintained and projected.
• Coordinate effectively with area personnel and management.
• Assist area personnel as required; assist with training or orientation as needed.
• Inform supervisors of activities and any problems or concerns.
• Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.
• Attend meetings and training classes (weekdays, evenings, and/or Saturdays as scheduled).
• Perform night drop functions as assigned.
• Perform related clerical duties as assigned.
• Ensure work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Cross‑sell bank products and services.

• Education/Certification
  :
  High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience Required
  :
  At least one year of related cash‑handling experience; previous teller experience preferred.
• Knowledge & Skills
  :
  • Understanding of bank operations preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
  • Good math and typing skills.
  • Ability to operate computers and business equipment (adding machine, typewriter, copier, coin/money‑counting machines, telephone).
• Training Requirements
  :
  • All required training and webinars in 90‑day plan.
  • GS3 Program;
    Precision;
    Integrated Teller – Advanced functions; IVIEW;
    Product Knowledge; SCO; ATM Balancing; WITS/Wires – min. domestic;
    Dual Control;
    Risk Management Skill.
• Physical Activities and Requirements:
  • Talking, hearing, finger dexterity, repetitive motion, average visual and auditory abilities.
  • Sedentary work; ability to exert up to 10 lbs occasionally; no hazardous conditions.
• Mental Activities and Requirements:
  • Reasoning ability to apply common sense and solve problems with few variables.
  • Mathematics ability for basic calculations, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
  • Language ability: use of passive vocabulary 5,000–6,000 words, reading, writing, and speaking complex sentences correctly.

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM;
Saturday 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
