Medical Director, Cardiac ICU | Lead Quaternary Care Program | PTO

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a Medical Director of the Cardiac ICU to join our experienced multidisciplinary critical care team. The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology and Critical Care or have board certification in cardiology with significant experience and interest in cardiac critical care.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the care of a diverse range of critically ill patients, including those with acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, valve disease and CHF, including those with cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support needs, including LVAD.

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team that includes advanced heart failure, electrophysiology, and interventional cardiologists, as well as, surgical critical care specialists, and cardiothoracic surgeons.
• Supervise and instruct cardiology fellows during their training in the cardiac ICU.

• Develop and implement ICU protocols, best practices, and quality metrics.

Qualifications:

• Board certified or eligible in cardiology and critical care, or board certification in cardiology with extensive experience in cardiac critical care.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient centered care.

Additional information:

• Night and weekend call supported by rotation (1 in
  6) within the cardiology department, along with in-house cardiology fellow support.
