We’re looking for a practical, hands-on manufacturing professional who enjoys solving real-world problems on the shop floor. They should be comfortable moving between CAD designs and drawings, electrical wiring, and hands-on assembly or troubleshooting - someone who can communicate well with a Team and take ownership of projects.

This person has enough manufacturing experience to work confidently in a structured, quality-focused environment, ideally aerospace or AS9100, but is still eager to learn and grow. They are reliable, adaptable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable traveling occasionally to support fulfillment and continuous-improvement work.

Job Type: Full Time, Salary Position

• Create 3D models and drawings, as well as design engineering master drawing sets in support of the Manufacturing Engineering Team.
• Support implementation of new production lines and process improvements; assess production equipment, hardware, and tooling.
• Support layout, drawings, and development of wiring and control for sensors, switches, pumps, motors, and other electronic equipment.
• Ensure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurate for future reference and customer / end user requirements; prepare and present product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Work hands on to support the shop floor and field with designs, ongoing issues, breakdowns and other issues as they arise. This may include hands on fabrication of prototypes, test equipment and other tools as needed to evaluate potential designs.
• Use best engineering and manufacturing practices to improve manufacturing processes; apply Lean or Six Sigma methods to increase efficiency and first pass yield, with effective root cause problem solving.
• Create and maintain Design Engineering eBOMs. Coordinate with Prototyping for new supplier sourcing and selection when needed, for capture of alternate parts in the eBOM.
• Participate in EHS actions to improve safety on the shop floor; lead and work with manufacturing and other support Teams to complete projects that meet EHS, production, quality, and cost savings goals on time
• Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager

A.S. in Manufacturing Engineering or other relevant field, with 4+ years of engineering experience,
OR B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering, or similar relevant degree from an ABET-accredited Engineering program, with 2+ years of engineering experience

• Hands-on experience working with a highly technical, fast-paced Team in a technical field may be used to replace the above listed years of engineering Team experience.
• Experience with Solid Works or equivalent CAD program, and the ability to both review and create part and tooling models, drawings, and BOM objects.
• Electronics and wiring experience (controls, sensors, switches) including the production of electrical diagrams and drawings for same
• Hands-on manufacturing experience within an AS9100 or ISO regulated environment.
