Summary of Position
Protect the bank from loan losses by performing a thorough financial and risk analysis for all new commercial credit applications and existing customers. Responsible for supporting commercial lenders in the facilitation and administration of the commercial loan portfolio. Works closely with commercial lenders to facilitate the extension, monitoring, and servicing of commercial credit relationships.
Essential Functions
Provides financial and risk analysis for new commercial credit applications, analyzing more complex financial statements, tax returns, and other financial data to assess the creditworthiness of businesses.Provides financial and risk analysis for existing commercial clients in the form of annual renewals and reviews.Assist lenders in the due diligence of credit analysis, to include: obtaining and interpreting industry and market analysis pertinent to the respective client and the acquisition of information regarding collateral valuations on specialized or unique assets to be used as collateral.Preparing Credit Approval Request, detailing the analysis, risk assessment, and credit recommendation for loan approval.Perform/review loan covenant testing calculations.Meet with lenders and their clients or prospects that require more complex and significant servicing requirements, in order to better understand the clients’ business operation and/or servicing needs.Assist in the servicing of participation loans through communication with the participant bank regarding financial data, reports, and status updates.Attend loan committee and/or board meetings when appropriate to assist in the explanation of the credit analysis.Identify the credit risks associated with the client’s use of depository services and incorporate this information into the respective credit application.As needed, review loan closing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with approval documents.Follows all State Bank customer service standards.Serves on Bank committees as required.Participates in bank-wide training program.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Minimum of five years of bank experience with underwriting or related analytical experience. Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel and Word. Loan Vantage software experience is a plus.

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work unsupervised and display effective time management skills. Exhibits excellent judgment in handling confidential information.
