IT Intern; Summer

End User Services / Asset & Device Operations

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable IT Intern to support day‑to‑day operations within our End User Services and Asset Management team. This is an entry‑level, hands‑on role focused on device logistics, lifecycle management, and basic systems administration tasks. The role will work closely with Tier 2 IT support staff and provides the opportunity to gain exposure to real‑world IT troubleshooting and enterprise systems in a fast‑paced environment.

• Receive incoming IT equipment and verify shipments against packing slips
• Apply asset tags and maintain accurate inventory records in Service Now
• Prepare and ship equipment to employees using standard shipping processes
• Track devices through the full lifecycle from receiving to deployment

• Wipe and prepare returned devices for redeployment (Windows and mobile)
• Inspect, clean, and stage devices for reuse
• Fulfill requests for the internal employee refurb program via Service Now tickets
• Package and ship refurbished devices to employees

• Remove devices from systems such as Microsoft Intune, Screen Connect, and other endpoint tools
• Maintain accurate device records across systems
• Support standard device retirement and redeployment workflows

• Manage and update Service Now tickets related to device requests and returns
• Ensure all work is documented clearly and accurately
• Coordinate with internal teams on device shipments and recovery

• Shadow Tier 2 IT technicians to learn real‑world troubleshooting workflows
• Gain exposure to device provisioning, endpoint troubleshooting basics, and enterprise IT systems
• Assist Tier 2 staff with basic troubleshooting tasks as skills develop

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow structured processes consistently
• Reliable and able to manage repetitive tasks
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic
• Comfortable handling physical equipment

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise IT operations
• Exposure to real troubleshooting alongside Tier 2 staff
• Understanding of device lifecycle management at scale
• Experience with tools like Intune, Service Now, and remote support platforms

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brownsburg, IN.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Brownsburg, IN.
