Maintenance Technician - Apartment Community

Location: Avon/Brownsburg

Position Summary:

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician at our vibrant apartment community in the Avon/Brownsburg area. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents. This role involves routine maintenance, preventive repair work, and emergency responsiveness. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of apartment units and common areas to ensure they meet safety standards and elevate issues accordingly.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize service requests according to urgency.
  • Schedule and execute preventive maintenance to ensure all systems function optimally.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in maintenance areas and throughout the community.
  • Contribute to seasonal property upkeep, including landscaping and snow removal as required.
  • Assist in handling emergency situations, ensuring resident safety and minimizing property damage.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment status.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or college degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in property maintenance, with strong skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding building maintenance and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Flexibility to be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
