The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the planning and execution of continuous improvement strategies across the P&A Distribution Operation. Partner with senior functional and location leaders to identify, plan and execute continuous improvement projects to support Mercury’s goals for safety, quality, service, revenue growth and cost. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through project mentorship and formalized CI training. Execute results-oriented strategic CI projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools.

• Lead site-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across the Brownsburg DC to solve critical issues impacting operations.
• Create and maintain a continuous improvement roadmap for the operation.
• Lead the CI steering committee to support annual financial and employee development goals.
• Develop and execute Lean Six Sigma strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
• Utilize structured data sets to uncover anomalies, bottlenecks and root causes of operational inefficiencies.
• Ability to solve complex problems with creative ideas utilizing statistics and excellent communication skills.
• Build data-driven business cases and quantify financial benefits from improvement projects.
• Drive employee engagement in CI activities by building a culture of accountability and data-driven decision making.
• Measure and review processes for effectiveness and benchmark with industry best practice.
• Provide subject matter expertise on Lean Six Sigma practices and CI strategies.
• Coach, counsel and train managers, staff, and associates to apply, support, sustain and develop a CI culture.
• Manage and motivate teams to challenge the status quo to meet accelerating goals and timelines.
• Collaborate with Operations Management, Supervisors, Engineering, Inventory Control, IT, Transportation, and Safety Teams.
• Embrace diversity of thought and experiences to drive innovative problem solving.

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain management or related field.
• 4-7 years relevant professional experience with 3-5 years LSS and/or other CI methodologies application.
• LSS Green Belt certification.
• Base understanding of key business drivers (P&L, Overhead, Budget process).
• Demonstrated proficiency in LSS and CI application.
• Ability to drive results through influence, with some prior direct leadership experience.
• Preferred: 5-10 years Operations Management or Industrial Engineering experience.
• Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Labor Management Systems (LMS).
• Power BI, Excel and SQL experience.
• Direct team leadership experience.
• A graduate degree in business or MBA is beneficial.
• Black Belt or other Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Be able to work in a fast-paced environment as business needs dictate. The position will require sitting, standing, and walking in both an office and warehouse environment. Must be able to operate/drive PIT equipment, including reach truck, OP, pallet jack, etc. if needed. The role may require moving totes/boxes weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently, twisting, bending, climbing, grasping, and other repetitive movements.

On-site support between first shift hours Monday – Friday, with occasional work outside normal hours, weekends and holidays as operational needs dictate.

The hiring range for this position is $86,500 to $126,800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, and geographic location. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
