Role DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in Brownsburg, IN. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to support consistent, high-quality manufacturing operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical issues, and completing timely repairs to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Technician Machinist will set up, operate, and adjust machine tools and production equipment, follow safety and quality procedures, and accurately document maintenance activities.
This role collaborates closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
- Strong equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair skills to support production machinery and facility systems.
- Hands‑on industrial maintenance experience with manufacturing equipment, machine tools, and related support systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem‑solving for mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Solid understanding of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and good manufacturing practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance, machining, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar) is a plus.
