We are seeking an experienced EHS Supervisor to lead and enhance Environmental, Health, and Safety programs within a fast-paced distribution and logistics environment. This role is responsible for fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with operational leaders to ensure a safe and productive workplace. The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional with strong leadership skills, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for driving sustainable EHS performance.

Position

Responsibilities Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership
  • Lead site-wide environmental, health, safety, and security initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety accountability and employee engagement.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
Risk Assessment & Compliance
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental inspections.
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and provide practical compliance solutions.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to EHS compliance activities.
Training & Employee Development
  • Deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and management.
  • Support behavior-based safety initiatives and employee awareness programs.
  • Provide guidance on safe work practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings and ongoing educational initiatives.
Incident Investigation & Reporting
  • Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and environmental events.
  • Perform root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans.
  • Track and report EHS performance metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
Continuous Improvement
  • Support Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and environmental performance.
  • Lead ergonomic evaluations and workplace safety improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational safety and reduce risk exposure.
  • Drive long-term EHS performance improvements across the facility.
Operational Support
  • Partner with management teams to prioritize EHS initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance on safety, environmental, and risk management issues.
  • Support contractor safety programs and business continuity planning.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning.
Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Environmental, Health, and Safety experience within manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or industrial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and workplace safety programs.
  • Experience with powered industrial trucks, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, and fall protection.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements, hazardous waste management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and safety reporting systems.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
  • OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification
  • Powered Industrial Truck Trainer Certification
  • Hazardous Waste (RCRA) Certification
  • DOT Hazardous Materials Certification
  • Fall Protection Competent Person Certification
  • Lean, Continuous Improvement, or WCM-related certifications
