ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operate fork trucks and stock pickers in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Process orders requiring the use of a forklift or stock picker for outbound operations.
- Process all outbound orders requiring a forklift or stock picker.
- Stock all rack merchandise and arrange rack surplus from zones appropriately.
- Set down rack surplus for zones so orders can be filled.
- Perform any miscellaneous tasks that require a fork truck.
- Replenish outbound totes as needed, where applicable.
- Assist with maintaining mezzanine zones.
- Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
Team members with experience may be designated as trainers. As a trainer, take ownership of the DC target training program ensuring that all training is conducted according to schedule and that all documentation is complete. Explain specific job duties and functions to help ensure success of new team members as well as convey departmental or procedural changes to existing team members.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE- Must work well in a team environment.
- Operating knowledge of fork trucks and power equipment.
- Working knowledge of parts lines in warehouse and surplus merchandise locations.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately.
Desired:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience operating various types of power equipment.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
