The regular hours of the role are 7:00pm – 7:00am
General FunctionThe Security Guard will ensure the safety and security of the property and employees.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Ensure that only authorized individuals and vehicles enter the facility.
- Log information as required for facility entry and deliveries.
- Communicate company guidelines to contractors and document agreement to comply.
- Remain alert and focused at all times while on post.
- Diligently monitor surroundings for abnormal situations and take action, as needed.
- Enforce procedures to prevent theft of company and/or personal property.
- Enforce parking lot safety rules.
- Respond calmly, promptly, and effectively to plant emergencies.
- Follow company security guidelines.
- Manage phone systems.
- Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards.
- Identify quality issues and attain established productivity standards.
- Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
- There is mandatory overtime associated with the role depending upon the needs of the business because, with team-based manufacturing, production areas must be manned for worker safety and may continue beyond the end of a scheduled shift or may require additional overtime hours outside of normal shift schedule.
- This role is a temporary position (4-6 months) within our site where we have a team approach to manufacturing. Timely and Regular attendance is crucial to your success and the safety of the team.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently licensed as an Unarmed Security Guard in good standing by the state of Tennessee.
- Ability to successfully complete TN Unarmed Security training annually.
- Must successfully complete TBI/Criminal Background Check, pre-employment physical exam, and drug screen.
- Previous experience in site security.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, squat, bend, twist and turn as needed to perform the job.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times throughout the shift.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
