Role Description The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Brownsville, TX. A Technician will perform diagnostic evaluations, routine maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models, following manufacturer and dealership standards. Day-to-day work includes inspecting vehicles, identifying service needs, completing work orders, and documenting repair actions in a clear and accurate manner. The role also involves using diagnostic tools and equipment, communicating with service advisors about required repairs and timelines, and helping maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Technicians are expected to follow safety protocols, adhere to quality control procedures, and contribute to a positive customer experience by ensuring vehicles are repaired correctly and returned on time.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on automotive repair and maintenance skills, including diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and routine service on multiple makes and models.
  • Ability to use standard and advanced shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair software in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems such as engines, brakes, suspension, electrical components, and HVAC, with attention to safety and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and time management skills to handle multiple work orders efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with service advisors, other technicians, and customers when needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training or technical certification (ASE or manufacturer-specific) is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Brownsville, TX, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to follow all dealership safety and compliance policies.
