Job SummaryTo be a successful Foreman, you must possess leadership skills and the skills necessary for the trade. Lead and direct crew to achieve daily and long-term goals. May operate a variety of equipment. Overnight stays, night and weekend shifts may be required occasionally. We are looking for someone who can work varying shifts, if necessary, over weekends, and should also be physically fit and be able to stand for long periods of time, work on your feet or knees, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in high heat and cold weather.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervising and directing a crew of 10-15.
- Project budget management
- Lead crew to achieve daily and long-term goals
- Record time, material, quantity, etc. information into timecard using HCSS and iPad
- Perform duties involving shoveling, raking, luting, jack hammering, heavy lifting and the use of multiple small tools involved with asphalt milling and paving.
- Operate equipment depending on skill set and level of ability
- Must perform all tasks in a safe manner following all safety precautions
- Clearly communicate with and lead crew members to ensure safety, teamwork and completion of daily goals
Any knowledge of the following different crafts listed below:
- knowledge of building and setting forms that hold the concrete in place.
- Overseeing the cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
- Knowledge of forming bridge decks and setting overhang jacks.
- knowledge of placing shoring and false work.
- Read and interpret/understand blueprints and plans and specifications.
- Supervise the crew setting forms that hold the concrete in place.
- Supervise and direct the casting of the concrete.
- Supervise the pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete.
- Supervise an earth crew
- Supervise a pipe laying crew

Additional Job Functions- Research, organization, and planning of assigned projects.
- Ability to work on our different sites in various states.
- Work closely with leadership to maintain efficient tracking/monitoring of projects.

- Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
Skills and Abilities
- At least 3 years' experience as a Heavy Civil Foreman supervising and performing craft work or heavy equipment work
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must pass a background check
- Must have reliable transportation to the work sites
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Lift, carry and hold building materials, tools and supplies
- Perform variety of functions such as dig, spread and level dirt, asphalt and gravel with a pick or shovel
- Clean tools, equipment, materials and work areas
- Must be a safety conscious individual
- Be able to stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Frequently lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- See and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must pass a background check
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, and an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units.
- Experience with managing multiple projects with conflicting priorities.
- Experience budgeting projects and managing costs.
This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate with verbally others on site, in person and over the telephone, ability to read printed materials, signs and directions, stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions, ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms;
