Assistant Choir Director Pool - High School

Position: Assistant Choir Director Pool - High School 2026-2027
REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree;
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate and/or enrollment in an Alternative Certification Program or equivalent in music.

PREFERRED:

• Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing vocal education; and ability to implement policy and procedures.

The Assistant Choir Director will teach ensemble classes and conduct choir rehearsals. The Assistant Choir Director will assist the Head Choir Director with extracurricular events including concerts, competitions, TMEA and UIL activities. The Assistant Choir Director will assist the Head Choir Director with all paperwork as well as instructional duties as assigned to provide the best music education possible for the students of B.I.S.D. The Assistant Choir Director will assist with all performing groups at concert and sight-reading competition, Solo & Ensemble, and all other choral performances.
