Position Overview
Careers of America is seeking an experienced Rigging Instructor to deliver Basic Rigging courses on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for a skilled rigger looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity to share their knowledge and support workforce development across the maritime, energy, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Basic Rigging curriculum in both classroom and hands-on settings
- Demonstrate proper rigging techniques, safety practices, and equipment use
- Prepare students for NCCER written and practical certification exams
- Ensure all instruction aligns with NCCER standards and guidelines
- Maintain a safe and organized training environment
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of rigging experience (shipyard, energy, or industrial preferred)
- Strong knowledge of rigging equipment, load calculations, and safety procedures
- NCCER certification in rigging preferred
- Ability to obtain NCCER Instructor Certification Training Program (ICTP) if not already certified
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to work flexible hours

Courses scheduled in advance (evenings or weekends may apply)
