You’ve spent years working with kids as a coach - not as a teacher. You understand the distinction: coaching is about connection, challenge, and refusing to accept anything less than a student’s full potential. Teaching is content transmission. You’ve never been in the business of content transmission.
Alpha operates one of the most unconventional schools in the country. Students don’t occupy rows of desks while being lectured to. They progress through AI-powered learning applications at their own speed. The AI manages instructional delivery. Your responsibility is to facilitate life skills workshops that capture the attention of K-8 students, conduct motivation sessions that drive them toward weekly learning targets, and maintain standards when students attempt to take shortcuts.
The academic component is self-sustaining. You manage the human dimension.
This position offers meaningful upward trajectory, and that trajectory leads to greater student impact. Educators who consistently achieve performance benchmarks (100% cohort attainment of weekly app goals, satisfaction scores above 90%) advance into Lead Guide positions where they train other educators in best practices. Students remain the focus throughout.
The campus sits in Brownsville, adjacent to SpaceX's Starbase facility. If you’re motivated to leave your current position because of the mission - transforming what a child believes about their own potential - rather than for resume credentials.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, focus, and feedback exchange

Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have truly acquired the skill, not merely attended the session - Conducting daily motivation sessions that leverage student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to ensure 100% of your cohort achieves weekly app advancement targets
- Utilizing storytelling techniques, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and individual connection to overcome student resistance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction scores with a target of 90%+ on student surveys
- Lecturing from the front of a classroom. Academic advancement occurs through self-directed AI-powered applications, not through direct instruction from you.
- Supervising without engagement. The context is students working on computers; the actual work is active facilitation.
- Compromising standards in response to student pushback. Test2
Pass requirements remain consistent regardless of individual student circumstances during any given week. - Creating curriculum materials independently. Lesson frameworks and workshop guides are supplied; your responsibility is to execute them with the presence and narrative skill that drives genuine student comprehension.
- Handling parent communications, admissions processes, or campus administration. Those functions belong to other positions.
