Job Description & How to Apply Below
  • On-site position at the Alpha School campus located in Brownsville, TX
  • $100,000 annual W2 salary with weekly pay. Health benefits begin on day one.
  • Relocation assistance available for a one-school-year campus commitment

You've built your career coaching young people — not merely instructing them. You understand the distinction: coaching means connecting, pushing boundaries, and holding students accountable to their potential. Teaching means delivering material. You've never seen yourself as a content pipeline.

Alpha operates one of the most non-traditional schools in existence. Students don't occupy desks while someone lectures. They progress through AI-driven learning platforms at individualized speeds. AI manages the academic instruction. Your role centers on facilitating life skills workshops that captivate K-8 students, conducting motivation sessions that drive weekly learning targets, and maintaining standards when students resist effort. The curriculum runs itself.

You manage the human dimension.

This position offers a meaningful ceiling: expanded student impact. Those who reliably achieve metrics (100% cohort completion of weekly app goals, satisfaction scores above 90%) advance into Lead Guide positions where they mentor other educators in refining this approach. Students remain the focus.

The campus sits in Brownsville, adjacent to SpaceX's Starbase facility.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange
  • Administering Test2

Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have internalized the skill, not simply attended
  • Conducting daily motivation sessions that leverage student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to ensure 100% of your cohort meets weekly app progression goals
  • Using narrative techniques, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and individual rapport to overcome student reluctance
  • Monitoring cohort satisfaction scores with a 90%+ benchmark on student surveys
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Lecturing from the front of a classroom. Academic advancement happens through self-directed AI-powered applications, not through your direct instruction.
  • Supervising screen time passively. The environment involves technology; your work requires active engagement.
  • Compromising standards when students resist. Test2

Pass benchmarks remain firm, even during difficult weeks.
  • Creating original curriculum content. Workshop frameworks and lesson plans are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the presence and narrative ability that ensures genuine learning.
  • Handling parent relations, admissions processes, or campus logistics. Those functions belong to separate roles.
