You've been coaching kids for years — not teaching them. You understand the distinction: a coach pushes, connects, and won't accept a student settling for anything less than their best effort. A teacher distributes content. You've never operated as a content distribution mechanism.
Alpha operates the most unconventional school environment you'll encounter. Students don't sit in rows listening to lectures. They progress through AI-powered learning apps at their own speed. AI manages the instructional content. Your responsibility is to facilitate life skills workshops that capture the attention of K-8 students, conduct motivation sessions that drive them toward their weekly learning targets, and maintain standards when a student tries to take the easy path.
The academics handle themselves. You manage the human element.
This position has a performance ceiling worth pursuing, and that ceiling is greater student impact. Those who consistently achieve their metrics (100% of cohort reaching weekly app goals, 90%+ satisfaction scores) advance into Lead Guide positions where they mentor other educators on refining this work. Students remain the focus.
The campus sits in Brownsville, adjacent to SpaceX's Starbase. If your motivation for leaving your current position is the mission — transforming what a kid believes about their own potential — not a bullet point on your resume, submit your application.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops with K-8 students on topics including public speaking, focus, and giving and receiving feedback
- Administering Test2
Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have genuinely acquired the skill, not simply attended - Conducting daily motivation sessions leveraging student profiles, interests, and Coachbot analytics to ensure 100% of your cohort achieves their weekly app advancement goals
- Employing storytelling, incentives (school currency, leaderboards), and personal connection to overcome student resistance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction scores to reach a 90%+ target on student surveys
- Standing at a whiteboard and delivering lectures. Students progress academically through self-guided AI-powered apps, not through your direct instruction.
- Supervising children on devices passively. Kids working on computers is the environment; active engagement is the responsibility.
- Reducing standards when students resist. Test2
Pass requirements remain firm, regardless of whether a student is facing a difficult week. - Creating curriculum from the ground up. Lesson plans and workshop playbooks are supplied; your responsibility is to execute them with the presence and storytelling ability that ensures students truly absorb the material.
- Handling parent communications, conducting admissions, or supervising campus operations. Those fall under a different role.
