As a Starship Vehicle Lead, you will be primarily responsible for the successful execution of program engineering objectives for the Ship - building a large fleet of rapidly reusable ships that can move significant hardware to orbit, the Moon, and Mars. You will drive trades on vehicle configuration, identifying what changes need to be made and ensuring they are cut in with minimal disruption to the fleet.

You will hands on with change implementation, from program management to integration engineering to design engineering. You will be a focal point for the larger Starship Engineering organization, interacting with all disciplines to resolve issues and align objectives.

• Manage starship change tickets, driving decisions on change content and effectivity
• Report overall program status and critical path items to management, executives, and the department for alignment
• Translate design intent/goals in the context of various engineering and production teams
• Identify and own projects and processes that improve overall program success and progress
• Manage the fleet of vehicles (both vehicles in build and active vehicles)

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or a physics discipline; OR bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional experience in a technical aerospace or manufacturing role
• 3+ years of experience managing projects or technical trades

• Previous experience managing technical teams
• Experience with interdisciplinary project management across many departments. Interdisciplinary engineering fundamentals and multidisciplinary project execution is the key to success in this role
• Experience developing and presenting executive summaries of status to drive decision making
• 5+ years of experience managing projects or technical trades

• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

• To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.
