# Project Overview:

Bechtel is partnering with Next Decade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.

RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.  LI-TH1

# Major Responsibilities:

+ Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff within the area of responsibility.

+ Role supports projects of moderate complexity and few stakeholders involved.

# Planning / Productivity

+ Prepares construction drawings and sketches.

+ Develops planning construction methods and procedures.

+ Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements

# Safety / Quality

+ Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements

+ Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.

# Technical

+ Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents

+ Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.

+ Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.

Education and Experience Requirements:

+ Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

# Required Knowledge and

Skills:

+ Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation relating to field activities.

+ Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy. Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisor's ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.

+ Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.

+ Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.

+ Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.

+ Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.

+ Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

+ Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required that may include but not limited to night shift or split shift

+ Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated…
