Technology Support Supervisor
Length of Term/Employment: 230 workdays / At-will
Position MissionProvides technical assistance and training to employees and staff by performing the following duties.

Education And/or ExperienceTwo year certificate from college or technical school; or Three year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CompTIA A+ Certificate.
Job DutiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium.
- Configuration of client's equipment to connect to the Information system via LAN/WAN.
- Configure local software to connect LAN resources and or Internet applications/servers.
- Provide training to clients in the use of the Information system and applications related to software.
- Obtain general understanding of OS and application operations related to district offered services.
- Identify and correct or advise, on operational issues in client computer systems.
- Provide Network hardware support for internal and external applications.
- Evaluate new support systems/application system requirements for implementation.
- Provide Level II Technical Support for software and network devices.
- Perform light lifting 25lbs.
- Perform creation of new accounts using district provide software tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
- Experience with hardware and software issues.
- Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FT clients and Web Browsers.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Typing proficiency: 30-50 wpm.
- Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental/educational regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, teachers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of both PC and Mac OS; OS X 10.7 Server;
Windows Server 2008; proficient networking skills;
Active Directory;
Open Directory;
Internet software;
Word Processing software;
Programing Experience.

- The employee is occasionally required to move light to moderate equipment from building to building; load and or unload vehicles; pack and/or unpack equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Moderate distance of travel between campuses should not exceed 15mile.
