Description:
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
The unit has 22 beds and a staff of 55.
Night shift includes 6 RNs and 1 PM Tech.
The patient ratio is 4:1.
The EMR system used is Meditech.
The primary responsibilities include IV insertion and medication administration.
You will perform EKGs, splinting, and wound care.
Moderate sedation for various procedures such as reductions or cardioversion is expected.
You will assist with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response.
Care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients is critical.
Transport preparation and coordination for higher levels of care will also be required.
Triage assessment and prioritization based on ESI guidelines is essential.
Isolation and infection control protocols must be followed diligently.
Documentation and reassessment in fast-paced environments are part of the role.
The ideal candidate is team-oriented with a strong work ethic and accountability.
Punctuality, reliability, and compassion in patient-centered care are vital traits.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are necessary.
