Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Strong triage and critical thinking skills

Experience with trauma and cardiac alerts, including care of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients

Description:

The unit has 22 beds and a staff of 55.
Team members include charge nurses, RNs, and techs on both day and night shifts.
Patient ratios are 4:1.
The EMR system in use is Meditech.
The unit typically performs procedures such as IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care.
Moderate sedation is provided for procedures including reductions or cardioversion.
Assistance is given during intubation, CPR, and rapid sequence intubation.
Care is provided for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients.
Transport preparation and coordination for higher levels of care is essential.
Triage assessments and prioritization based on ESI guidelines are required.
Isolation and infection control protocols must be followed.
Documentation and reassessment occur in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is team-oriented with a strong work ethic and accountability.
They must be punctual, reliable, and compassionate, with a focus on excellent patient-centered care.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are essential.
