This role provides direct clinical patient care. It includes assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients on a per‑shift basis and at the unit level. The RN will supervise staff, support the CNO in ensuring high‑quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, and help manage resources related to patient care.
Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients.
- Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
- Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control, with the goal of discharging patients at an optimum level of care.
- Administer all medications safely and timely in accordance with hospital policy.
- Perform and fulfill all Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies or disasters.
- Know the hospital’s emergency codes and the appropriate actions for each, and adhere to all related policies and procedures.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred
:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing. - Experience:
Preferred recent acute care experience. - Certifications:
Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice in the state of employment; AHA BLS required, with AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as applicable.
