RN - Critical Care (Brownsville, TX)

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:
Arrhythmia management, bariatric, CODE, COVID, CRRT training, CVICU, burn patient care, chest tube insertion, ECMO, external pacemaker, high acuity, intra-aortic balloon pump, MICU, neuro ICU, post MI therapeutic care, post cardiac surgery care, post neuro surgery, RRT, SICU, tpa administration, transplant, and vascular intervention.

Shift Schedules

Day shift, night shift, and mid shift.

Job Types

Qualifications
  • ADN or higher degree in nursing
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • 1+ years of experience in a critical care unit (ICU) preferred
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Ability to function effectively under stress
  • Experience with advanced medical equipment and procedures
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
  • Rapidly assess patient conditions, including vital signs and other physiological parameters, and intervene with appropriate care.
  • Monitor and provide care to patients who are critically ill, unstable, and/or life‑threatening.
  • Manage various life‑support systems like ventilation and heart‑monitoring.
  • Participate in rapid response and other emergency situations.
  • Administer medications and other treatments.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about the patient’s condition and care plan.

Salary: $60,150 to $100,000 per year.
