Registered Nurse PACU PRN

Job Summary

Registered Nurse PACU PRN – Post‑Anesthesia Recovery Unit. The RN will care for surgical patients in the post‑anesthesia period and provide safe, efficient nursing care while collaborating with the healthcare team.

• Care for and manage surgical patients in the post‑anesthesia period.
• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Provide communication, confidence and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
• Accountable for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting.
• Current Registered Nurse License in Texas or a Multi‑State Compact License (must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days).
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
