Touchstone Communities is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support residents in our Texas skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. In this role, you will safely administer medications under nurse supervision, monitor and report resident responses, and accurately document all treatments. You'll also assist with daily living activities, promote comfort and dignity, and uphold infection control and safety standards. Working within a faith- and values-based, team-focused culture, you'll help deliver person-centered care that enhances each resident's quality of life and recovery while growing your clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer routine medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and state regulations
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions, reporting concerns to licensed nursing staff
- Document all medication administration accurately in electronic or paper MARs
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures
- Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to nurses and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain safe medication storage, handling, and infection control practices
- Support a person-centered, faith- and values-based care environment for residents and families
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to promote resident recovery and quality of life
- Participate in shift reports, care plan reviews, and required in-service training
- Uphold Touchstone Communities' standards for compassion, integrity, and resident dignity
