It s fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they re doing! We re committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.
SUMMARY OFTHE ROLE
The Sr. Planner TAR is responsible for developing, assembling, quality-checking, and maintaining all Turnaround work packages to ensure every TAR scope item is fully planned with detailed job steps, material requirements, resource estimates, safety considerations, and supporting documentation - enabling maximum efficiency and safety during execution.
Note:
This role focuses on work pack development and planning quality. Scheduling duties (Primavera P6 master schedule development, critical path analysis, float analysis, resource leveling, S-Curve tracking, and schedule progress reporting) reside with the dedicated TAR Scheduler / Scheduling Specialist role.
- Safety Leadership Demonstrate proactive safety leadership to the TAR team.
- Work Package Development Create detailed work packages for all TAR scope items including job steps, material requirements, special tools, permits, and safety considerations. Select frozen scope items from the worklist and build work packs in the Prometheus STO Work Package Module - defining activities, sequence, resources, materials, and relationships. Create SAP Work Orders for each scope item, syncing activities between the STO Work Package Module and SAP work orders via live API call.
Plan materials (BOM) - search SAP MM library, add to work pack, and initiate material availability tracking via the STO MAC module. Add QA/QC hold points - define inspection and quality checkpoints within each work pack Assign each work pack to the appropriate system/sub-system per the TAR Systemization Plan. Attach all supporting documents - drawings, procedures, method statements, and permits - to each work pack.
Lock completed and approved work packs - no further changes without Scope Change Request (SCR) approval. - Work Pack Quality Ensure every work pack meets the quality standard defined, including all 17 mandatory content elements (cover sheet, scope of work, step-by-step activity breakdown, resource requirements, BOM, drawings, method statements, special tooling, PTW, isolation/LOTO, HSSE hazards, QA/QC hold points, flange management, SIMOPS considerations, logic ties, estimated cost, and approval signatures). Drive work pack maturity progression from Level 0 (Draft) through to Level 4 (Locked) - fully approved;
no changes without SCR; ready for execution - targeting 100% of work packs. - Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinate with Discipline Leads (Mechanical, E&I, Process) to validate durations, sequencing, and resource requirements. Stakeholder in the development, implementation and ongoing support of the Integrated Activity Planning & Scheduling process for RGLNG. Stakeholder in the review of materials and parts optimization.
- Scope & Work Order Management Maintain the TAR scope register, change log, and work order database in CMMS. Support the TAR Event Manager in managing discovery scope during execution by developing expedited work packs for emergent/discovery items.
- Execution Support Responsible to safely complete all planned activities on the locked schedule, maximizing tool time and minimizing cost & deferrals. During Phase 7 (Closeout), close work orders, archive work packs, and contribute planning lessons learned to the After-Action Review (AAR).

Minimum/preferred experience: 5+ years in turnaround planning/scheduling in LNG, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries. Demonstrated experience using Primavera P6, SAP PM, or equivalent CMMS. Experience developing and assembling TAR work packages from scope identification through to locked, execution-ready status. Experience working within an STO (Shutdown/Turnaround/Outage) work package management system (e.g., Prometheus STO or equivalent) is preferred.
Minimum/preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:
Exceptional working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP or Similar). Competent at interpreting Engineering Drawings and Documentation i.e. P&, ISO, GA, etc. Experience developing critical Maintenance procedures. Knowledge of scope management processes including scope freeze, scope challenge, and scope change request (SCR) workflows. Understanding of material management and procurement processes for TAR long-lead and critical materials. Familiarity with QA/QC hold points, flange management requirements, and HSSE documentation within work packs.
