Salary and Commission

Hourly wage: $10.75 to $13.00 per hour. Commission up to 8% on transactions, potentially averaging an additional $3.19 per hour on top of the base rate. Our structure pays you for every transaction you process.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They work with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (at FFL locations).

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items following established policies.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details will be provided during the interview process.
