The Account Manager (AM) owns the commercial relationship for assigned clients and is responsible for revenue growth, retention, and overall client satisfaction. This role serves as the primary voice of the client internally and the voice of the company externally, driving strategic account planning, uncovering expansion opportunities, and ensuring flawless cross-functional execution across operations, engineering, quality, finance, and supply chain.
This is a consultative, business-oriented role ideal for someone who understands manufacturing environments and can balance client advocacy with commercial discipline.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship & Retention
- Own executive-level relationships across assigned accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for commercial matters
- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and strategic planning discussions
- Proactively manage client satisfaction, risk, and retention
- Address escalations with professionalism, urgency, and structure
Revenue Growth & Expansion
- Identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts
- Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities (new programs, services, locations, capabilities)
- Build and maintain account growth plans with measurable targets
- Partner with Business Development to support new logo handoff and onboarding
- Achieve or exceed annual revenue and margin targets
- Own pricing, quoting strategy, and margin management for assigned accounts
- Ensure contracts, renewals, and commercial terms align with company objectives, compliance requirements, and client expectations
- Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, revenue accuracy, and profitability
- Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline, and Key Account Management Plans
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead internal account teams across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance
- Translate client needs into internal priorities and action plans
- Ensure commitments are realistic, documented, and executed
- Promote structured problem-solving and continuous improvement

- Follow defined sales/account management processes (CRM, stage gates, forecasting, QBRs)
- Demonstrate strong preparation, follow-through, and accountability
- Model professionalism, integrity, and collaboration in all interactions
- 10-15+ years of experience in account management, sales, or commercial roles
- Experience in manufacturing, contract manufacturing, industrial services, or supply chain environments strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success growing existing accounts
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Excellent communication and executive presence
- Highly organized with strong CRM discipline
- Comfortable navigating technical and operational conversations
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Contract manufacturing, metal fabrication, plastics, machining, assembly, or nearshoring
- Multi-site or global manufacturing environments
- Exposure to long sales cycles and complex buying committees
- Familiarity with Lean, ISO, quality systems, or regulated environments
