Description

We are currently looking for the right Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. Pay $10.75 to $13.00 per hour plus commission up to 8% on transactions (approximately $3.69 per hour added to the hourly rate).

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The role partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. Associates greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, working with jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items per policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Effectively communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in accordance with federal, state, and local law.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
  • May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Available to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed commission information will be provided during the interview process.

Employees are required to agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.

Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
