Armed Security Officer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Brownsville, TX, for an Armed Security Officer. The duties include patrolling assigned areas to ensure security and prevent unauthorized entry or activities, monitoring surveillance systems, inspecting and reporting unusual events or safety hazards, and providing assistance to employees and visitors as needed. The role also requires responding promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

• Proficiency in enforcing security and safety protocols, monitoring surveillance equipment, and conducting security inspections
• Strong observational skills, situational awareness, and the ability to accurately document incidents and compile reports
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with team members, employees, and the public
• Ability to remain composed and act efficiently during emergencies or high‑pressure situations
• Relevant certifications or licenses, including a valid armed security officer license and training certifications, as required by the state
• Physically fit to perform standing, patrolling, and other duties for extended periods
• Prior law enforcement, military, or security experience is preferred but not required
