Concrete Finisher
The Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, leveling, and finishing concrete surfaces to meet strict project specifications on a high-performance construction site. This role supports structural and flatwork pours and ensures finished surfaces meet required tolerances, durability standards, and quality expectations typical of industrial or mission-critical builds.
Responsibilities
- Place, level, and finish concrete surfaces according to project specifications.
- Support structural and flatwork pours, ensuring all surfaces meet required tolerances and durability standards.
- Perform screeding, floating, troweling, edging, and joint finishing tasks.
- Achieve smooth, broom, or specialty surface finishes as specified.
- Understand and apply curing methods and timing for high-performance concrete.
- Maintain grade, slope, and elevation tolerances.
Essential Skills
- Concrete placement, leveling, and finishing (slabs, pads, structural pours).
- 3+ years of concrete finishing experience.
- Strong understanding of finishing techniques and curing processes.
- Ability to interpret drawings, elevations, and finish specifications.
- High attention to detail in achieving smoothness, grade, and slope.
- Familiarity with job site safety practices and PPE requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in high-precision or industrial environments.
- Ability to coordinate with crews during placement and finishing phases.

Work Environment
Outdoor job site in Brownsville, TX, exposed to heat, humidity, and wind. This is a high-production, schedule-driven environment with tight deadlines, requiring physical activities such as kneeling, bending, lifting over 50 lbs, and prolonged standing. Work involves coordination around heavy equipment, pumps, and active concrete pours. Expect overtime and early/extended hours depending on pour schedules.

This is a Contract position based out of Brownsville, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
