The Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) is a full-time, on-site role based in Brownsville, TX. This position is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and support tools to ensure safe, reliable operation. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues; executing preventive maintenance schedules; and completing repairs on plating, anodizing, and coating equipment. The technician will inspect equipment for wear and potential failures, document maintenance activities, and communicate status updates to supervisors and production teams.
The role also involves following safety procedures, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with other technicians and operators to minimize downtime and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance, including working with production and facility systems.
- Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on industrial equipment.
- Candidates should possess experience in Preventive Maintenance, including scheduling, inspections, and documentation of maintenance activities.
- Candidates should possess solid Maintenance & Repair skills, including performing adjustments, part replacements, and equipment rebuilds.
- Relevant skills and qualifications include the ability to read technical manuals and schematics, familiarity with safety and environmental regulations, and basic computer skills for logging work orders.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, metal finishing, or related industrial environments is preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or industrial technology is a plus.
- Ability to work 2nd shift, stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
