* Position Overview:

* Orbitalum, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a Service Technician in its Brownsville, TX repair facility.

This dynamic person will be expected to perform a variety of operations involving equipment assembly, component replacement, inventory management, technical training, shipping/receiving and computer related tasks.

* Essential Job Functions:

*
* + Perform computer related tasks such as order entry, inventory transactions, and shipping paperwork

+ Perform repairs and rebuilds on customer equipment, including installation of components and testing

+ Maintain repair facility, inventory, and the equipment needed to test machines

+ Travel to customers for on-site training and diagnostics

+ Use company provided work truck to deliver/pick up machines

+ Travel to customers for repair and service of machines in the field

+ Log equipment in and out of the system via serials, ensuring accurate tracking of customer information

+ Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet service deadlines

+ Complete and enter repair estimates for customer-owned equipment

+ Communicate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and ensure timely service completion

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment

+ Additional duties and tasks as assigned

** Requirements:*
* + HS diploma, GED and/or 1 year of relevant experience

+ Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

+ Aptitude with various power tools preferred.

+ Ability to communicate with others and problem-solve as necessary

+ Good communication skills

+ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

+ Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

+ Ability to work independently

+ Basic computer skills/knowledge of Office, Word and Excel computer programs

* Compensation range - $22.30-$30.20/hr; based on experience.
