Electromechanical Technician (Night Shift)

Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to install and maintain the electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems that support ground and test operations at a launch site. Systems include hydraulics, high-pressure nitrogen and helium, and cryogenics. The ideal candidate takes initiative, stays composed under pressure, and helps build a positive team environment. This role calls for someone dependable and detail-oriented who takes ownership of the quality of their work, speaks up with suggestions, and consistently looks for ways to improve processes, streamline work, and reduce cost while delivering on schedule.

This position works a night shift, Monday through Friday, roughly 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM, with flexibility for shift rotations, overtime, and weekends as site needs change.
Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and install fluid system hardware from schematics or engineering drawings, including ball valves, check valves, pressure regulators, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues identified during activation of controls, fluid, and mechanical systems.
  • Partner with technicians and engineers to ensure every system performs at the highest level of quality in support of mission‑critical launch operations.
  • Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and aerial platforms.
  • Handle both large and small delicate assemblies with care.
  • Perform a wide range of maintenance work, including vehicle integration support, pad and site preventive maintenance, general facilities upkeep, and corrosion control, to keep the site fully operational.
  • Create, maintain, and update written work orders and work instructions.
  • Execute lockout/tagout (LOTO) and fluid system configuration procedures, completing all physical and administrative steps safely and accurately.
  • Monitor and interpret instrumentation data to evaluate the health and performance of fluid systems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining or installing mechanical and low‑voltage control systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to work in tight quarters with good physical dexterity, and in extreme outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain) with exposure to fumes, odors, and noise.
  • Able to work at significant heights, in confined spaces, and around heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, reach overhead, and kneel or crouch for up to 10 hours per day; climb ladders and stairs for up to 6 hours; push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50–75 lbs unassisted for 1–2 hours per day; and work in temperatures above 80°F for 6+ hours. A pre‑employment questionnaire and/or physical may be required.
  • Willing to travel to other company facilities as needed (up to 25%).
