AutoCAD and Inventor Draughtsman

Draughtsman (Inventor & AutoCAD)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and designing using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, designs, and 3D models for a variety of projects, contributing to the development and implementation of engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create Technical Drawings: Use AutoCAD and Inventor to develop 2D and 3D technical drawings, schematics, and layouts based on project specifications.
• Design and Drafting: Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand requirements, producing accurate designs and ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications.
• 3D Modeling: Design complex 3D models and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor for prototypes, production, or manufacturing processes.
• Revisions and Updates: Modify and update existing technical drawings, incorporating feedback from engineers or other project stakeholders.
• Quality Control: Ensure all drawings meet the required quality standards, checking for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain and organize an effective filing system for all design and draft-related documents, ensuring they are up to date and accessible.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to resolve design challenges and optimize drafting workflows.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
• A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modeling and design.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD for 2D drafting and schematic drawings.
• Knowledge of industry standards and technical drawing conventions.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Draughtsman or in a similar role.
• Experience working on complex mechanical or structural designs.
