The impact you'll make in this role as a manufacturing engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Improvement of key performance measures for assigned processes, to include operating efficiency (OEE/CEE), rates, yields and equipment runtime and downtime
- Actively utilize Lean Manufacturing and Tier Process to identify/resolve top issues
- Responsible for continuous improvement of assigned products/processes through development and implementation of programs to increase product and process understanding and reduce process variability
- Efficiently troubleshoot product and process performance issues, performing root cause analysis and applying systemic problem-solving skills and robust solutions
Your skills and expertise to set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Analysis Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans
- Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams from multiple locations and divisions
