Job Details:

• Day shift approximately 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with potential for shift end time to vary by an hour

• On-call required

• Weekend coverage required with varying number of weekend shifts per contract

• 1:1 patient ratio

• 2 years of experience in service line required

• Travel experience strongly preferred

• Must live more than 150 miles away from facility or live in a metropolitan area

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH

• Texas RN License or Compact required

• Experience with Med Host and GE Mac Lab preferred

• Charting system experience required (Allscripts), with Altera experience preferred

• Must complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer

• Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing

• Hard document due date:
Thursday 2 PM CST prior to start

• Modules are completed during orientation and average 6-8 hours

• Float requirements not specified

• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

• Unit has 1 room with 7 beds

• Care for patients with STEMI, ACS, NSTEMI, PAD, CAD, and arrhythmia management

• Perform specialized procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, EP lab procedures, pacemaker/defibrillator procedures, and vascular interventions

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory providing advanced cardiovascular services to the community. The facility features modern equipment including MERGE HEMO, Philips X-ray, Philips IVUS, and Penumbra systems. The cardiac unit offers interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and safety protocols.
