Job Summary

The position is responsible to assist with executing the mission of the Boys and Girls of Summer Program. Hours during program operation may range from 20-29 hours per week. This is a temporary part time position that will work mostly during the month of July. Some hours may be needed prior to the beginning of the program and immediately following the end of the program as assigned by the directors.

This position is designated by the institution as Campus Security Authority (CSA).

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for teaching, developing, and assessing curriculum for program participants.
  • Responsible for using school records and standardized test data to assist instructors and program director to plan appropriate instruction.
  • Counseling sessions with students and parents when needed, investigating any absenteeism.
  • Assisting with pre- and post-testing for program evaluation in conjunction with the instructors.
  • Providing for security of all tests and student records.
  • Develop parent/guardian involvement with the program participants.
  • Establish written follow-up strategies to connect middle school principals and counselors with program participants’ progress to be monitored and reported back to the program Director.
  • Assist program director with completion of the final 2026 program report not later than August 31, 2026.
  • Performs related duties as required.
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to occupational field

Required Qualifications

Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug testing.

Required Experience
  • Licensed Teacher in the State of Georgia.
  • Teaching or working with children aged 8-13.
Preferred Qualifications

Working with at-risk students.

Preferred Experience
  • Working with at-risk students.
Proposed Salary

$45.00 per hour

  • Understand and carry out simple oral instructions.
  • Ability to provide good customer service.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and dealing with parents.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Dependable.
