Job Summary
The School of Arts & Sciences seeks dynamic applicants for a tenure track faculty position in Mathematics. This is an academic year (10-month) contract. The contract is expected to begin on August 1.
Responsibilities
1
- * Develop and implement undergraduate courses in mathematics, including learning support mathematics.
2
- * Teach a full load of classes during the Fall and Spring terms.
3
- * Employ effective and accessible use of educational technology across course modalities.
4
- * Maintain on campus office hours, develop syllabi and lesson plans,deliver lectures and course materials, and submit grades and attendance promptly.
5
- * Collaborate effectively and teach face-to-face, hybrid, or online courses at the Brunswick campus, Camden Center, or local high schools as needed.

- * Conduct academic advisement for academic programs within the department.

- Conduct academic advisement for academic programs within the department.

- * Maintain a commitment to using high-impact practices.

- * Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
* Doctoral degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution at time of hire.
* The doctorate must be completed by July 1, 2026.
Required Experience
* Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
* Evidence of professional development.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
* Certification or professional development in online teaching.
Preferred Experience
* Experience teaching co-requisite/learning support courses.
* A background in data science, applied mathematics, or computer science with the ability to teach a variety of courses in support of the College
¿ s degree programs.
* Two years of experience teaching Mathematics at the collegiate level.
