Job SummaryThe College of Coastal Georgia seeks qualified applicants for the part time applicant pool in the area of English. This is an applicant pool for teaching in the Department of Arts and Humanities during the academic year. Applicants will be reviewed on an as-needed basis and hiring may occur up to the start date of a given semester or session.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will teach courses contingent on the needs of the College. Essential duties include maintaining office hours, preparing lesson plans, lectures, and other course materials, and providing timely feedback to assignments and student inquiries. The successful candidate is expected to submit final grades and attendance reports as requested and to comply fully with CCGA and USG policies.
Required Qualifications- Must have completed a masters degree in English or a masters degree in a related field with eighteen semester hours at the graduate level in English, Rhetoric, or Composition.
- Successful record of post-secondary teaching.
- Two years of post-secondary teaching experience in English, Rhetoric, or Composition.
- Evidence of recent, successful post-secondary teaching experience in first-year composition, developmental English, and learning support.
- Successful online teaching experience.
* Successful completion of background investigation and legal authorization to work in the US prior to employment.
